The princess Qiongma lives in China and is the last Chinese princess without any land and power. Qiongma lives in Shanghai and writes movies scripts. During the culture revolution in China 1966 here father burned almost all the documents of the emperors family. Here roots could have killed everyone in the family because of the political changes in China during that time. The family luckily survived the Revolution in China, but lost everything they owned. Qiongmas family ruled China from 1644 – and replaced the Ming Dynastie. Cixi a former Concubine of emperor Xianfeng gave birth to a son. After the death of the emperor she became on power. 43 years she ruled China. Shortly before she died she announced Pu Yi to the last emperor of China. 1912 Pu Yi lost his power and the dynasty came to an end.
The roots of Qiongmas family are connected to Cixis brother. Over six centuries the emperors family lived in luxury. As a little child Qiongma lived in a big house in Beijing, four rooms where filled only with books. Here father Hong Ye was a famous doctor and here mother played piano. But the red brigades took there house and burned the piano, arrested the father and took here mother and here younger sister. Here nanny hided Qiongma so they went to a village.
From the past the family never recovered – sometimes when the family came back together Qiongmas father took here to the summer palace in Beijing and showed here a painting of the emperors wife Cixi and told here : “Don’t you look like here.”
